Meech, Richard Blair (b. --Not Shown--)

Richard B. Meech was born in Pennscola, Florida on February 25, 1920, the son of Hart D Meech and Regina Reich. The family moved to the Redfork area of Tulsa, Oklahoma when Richard was a small boy. He attended Tulsa schools and graduated from Webster High School in 1939. Dick then attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater for a couple of years. He was on the football team during this time.

Dick joined the United States Air Force and was in the Air Force until the end of World War 11. He met Frankie Robles Vernon while he was stationed at McDill Field in Tampa, Florida. They were married on September 4, 1947 at Hillsborough Methodist Church, Harney, Florida. Frankie was the daughter of Frank Willard Vernon and Lila Mary Tanner and was born on October 9, 1925 at Harney, Florida.

The couple moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and stayed with Dick's family while he completed college at Oklahoma State University. They then moved to Ft. Worth Texas where their daughter Rosemary was born on March 20, 1951. They then moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they resided until Dick was called back into the Air Force for the duration of the Korean War. Frankie returned to Tampa with daughter, Rosemary, while Dick was overseas.

At the end of the Korean War the Meech's moved back to Tulsa where Dick went to work for American Air Lines.
He worked for American until his retirement some thirty years later.

Daughters, Teresa, Regina, and Susan were born after the couple returned to Tulsa.

Frankie attended school in Harney , Temple Terrace, Hillsborough High In Tampa, and graduated from Plant City High School. She then went to work for Western Union and worked on assignments in San Franscisco, California, Chicago, Illinois, and New York, New York as well as in Tampa. She worked for Sears for a number of years after moving to Tulsa and retired from there. In later years, Frankie worked for Independent Opportunities providing care for developmentally delayed individuals. She was the employee of the month shortly before her death.

Frankie was a member from childhood of the Hillsborough Methodist Church. After moving to Tulsa she began attending Epworth United Methodist where she taught a Sunday School Class for the handicapped. She was
instrumental in the formation of this class. Dick is also a member of Epworth.

Dick is a member of the Masonic Lodge and also of the Akdar Temple Shrinner Organization.

Susan Meech was born on August 23, 1963, the daughter of Richard B. Meech and Frankie Robles Vernon. Susie was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Susie's early school years were in Sapulpa Schools. Susie was then enrolled at Hissom for several years where she recieved job training. Susie is employed by Hardee's and has been at the same position for a number of years. She always has a smile and a friendly hello for everyone both at work and elsewhere.

Susie united with Epworth United Methodist Church when she was a child. She attends Epworth and is an active member. She rarely misses a service.

Susie resides in 6331 S 33 W Av. Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74132.

James William Vernon was born on January 10, 1949 in Tampa, Florida. He is the son of William DeFae Vernon and Betty Jo Tanner. "Jim" attended Plant City Schools and graduated from Plant City High School in 1967. After graduation from high school, Jim attended Santa Fe Junior College in Gainesville. He then enlisted in the United States Army. Jim spent three years in Vecenztia , Italy in Army Intelligience. Following his Army Tour Jim attended Old Bennington College in Vermont and received an Associate's Degree. He managed the Ski Resort at Mt. Snow while he was in Vermont.
The next two years were spent at Memphis State University where Jim received a BA in Criminal Justice. He met Betty Jane Hetland, better known as "Bet" while attending Memphis State. Bet, who was a Graduate Student at Memphis State, had received a BA in Music from South Dakota State University and had taught music in both South Dakota and in Memphis.
Wedding bells rang on July 31, 1976 for Jim and Betty Jane Hetland in Plant City, Florida. Bet was born on December 20, 1949 in Madison, Lake County, South Dakota. She is the daughter of Lawrence Milford Hetland and Hazel Claire Mader.
Jim and Bet moved to Florida shortly before their wedding and Jim worked for the Polk County Sherriff's Department for several years. He is now employed by Babcock Corporation in Human Resources. Bet taught music at Lake Wales for seven years and at Warner State College for four years. She is now an Executive Senior Director with Mary Kay, Inc. and has received her seventh Pink Cadillac.
The Vernon's attend St John's United Methodist Church in Lake Wales. They have two daughters. Brittany Leigh Vernon was born on May 1, 1981 and is presently a high school senior. Laura Elizabeth Vernon was born on September 13, 1982. She is a high school sophomore.

Christopher Tanner Vernon was born in Plant City, Florida on December 28, 1960. "Chris" is the son of William DeFae Vernon and Betty Jo Tanner. He attended schools in Plant City and graduated from Plant City High School. While still a student at Plant City, Chris excelled at swimming and in water skiing. Later, Chris skied professionally at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Florida and at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Chris attended Florida State University where he graduated Cum Laude and received a B.S. in Finance in 1984. He then enrolled in Stetson University College of Law and completed his degree in 1987.

Chris married Tamera Sue Meister in Marion, Linn County, Iowa on October 12, 1996. Tamera is the daughter of Howard Kent Meister and Carol Josephine Bunce. She was born on November 2, 1966 and grew up in Marion. Tamera attended schools in Marion and graduated from high school there. She is employed as a Human Resource person.

Chris and Tami reside in Naples, Florida where Chris is employed by the law firm of Treiser, Kob,za, and Volpe.
They attend the United Methodist Church.

Kenneth Allen Urquhart was born on January 28, 1951 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida. He is the son of Clyde Herbert Urquhart and Mavis (Sandy) Mitchell. Kenneth grew up in Hillsborough County and attended Hillsborough County schools. He graduated from Brandon High School and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. He served one year in Viet Nam.
Kenneth married Stella Maxine Vernon on February 14, 1970 in Tampa, Florida. Maxine is the daughter of Donald Tanner Vernon and Mary Brubaker. She was born on October 5, 1951 in Bradenton, Florida. Maxine attended Catholic elementary schools, Franklin Junior High School, and was graduated from King High School in1969.
Kenneth works for GTE. Maxine is a realtor. The family attended Nativity Catholic Church for a number of years. They are now affialiated with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Kenneth and Maxine have two sons.
Kenneth Allen Urquhart, Jr. was born in Tampa, Florida on May 30, 1973. He attended schools in Hillsborough County. Kenneth went to Norwich University in Vermont on a wrestling scholarship. He then joined the United States Marine Corp and currently holds the rank E5. He is a Sgt. and is stationed in California.
Kenny married Cynthia Hart on November 27, 1993 in Jefferson, Tennessee. Cynthia is the daughter of L. Edward Hart and Freda Brown and was born on March 15, 1970. Kenny and Cynthia have two children. Kelsey Alise was born on October 6, 1974 and Chastity Carol Hart Urquhart was born on November 11, 1987. They are currently living in California.
Kris Riley Urquhart was born on June 16, 1978 in Tampa, Florida. He attended Hillsborough County schools and is currently attending Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee on a wrestling scholarship.
