Subject: Tanner online genealogy
I've begun researching my own family tree and it led me to yours. It seems we're 3rd cousins, once removed. It's been a great help to me, carrying a branch back several generations further than I had previously been able to go.
I thought you might like to know about a couple of discrepancies, though. I'm descended from Tuccora "Tuck" Tanner, sister to your ancestor Charles Henry Lee Tanner. Her first husband was James Lafayette Bramlette (one L, not 2), and Frances Ethel Mae Bramlette (she went by Mae) was the third child of this union (you have her listed as a child of the second husband). She was born Apr 16, 1899, married Oscar Sanders, and died October 1984. The first child of this union was my great grandmother, born Isadora, but she didn't like the name and called herself Ida Dora for most of her life. She was born in August of either 1890 or 1891, married Nathan Henry Hazel first(my maternal great grandfather), and Frank Johnson second. She died December 21, 1965. Somewhere between these two there was a second child, named Jeanie(unsure of spelling), who was around 18 months old when she died in a fire. Tuccora's second husband was William Sobotka (not Sabedka, and pronounced suh - BAHT - kee), and there were no children of that union.
I won't go down further from there, as I realize this is an offshoot of the tree for you, but I thought you would want to make sure the ones you already have on there are correct. And again, thank you very much for the work you have done to compile this tree and put it online. I had no idea who the ancestors of this branch were past Charles Tanner and Lecea Cook.
