Thank you for the message and would like more information on Zion B.
and Cargil Cornelius. Isaac R. Cornelius was my great grandfather and do
not have a lot of information. He was born in 1848 and died in 1886. He
married Margaret Barbara Speegle (Davis) and the children I have for
them are: Zion, Henry, Cargil, Nancy, Idora, Emily Jane (my grandmother)
and half brothers Jesse and Ealing. Margaret had been married to a
Davis before marrying Isaac R. My grandmother Emily jane married Houston
Winchester Horton and her brother Zion married my grandfather's sister
Mittie Horton. It has been so confusing trying to figure out who belongs
to who alot of the names is the same.. My grands parents were born in
Blount county and moved to Mobile county in 1926. They had 7 children:
Norman Roger, Voit Felix (my father) Floy Ruth, James Verben, Charles
Poe, Dora Lee, David Elmo. I plan to go to Blount County, Al. soon to
gather more info. Hope this helps. Thank you again for your message and
looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hi

My name is Kari Delaney and I am searching for information on the Corneluis
family. I saw that you have Eldridge Gary Berry (Barry) married to Ellender
Corneluis and you have two children listed 1) William H. and 2)Robert C. I am
hopeful that Ellender Cornelius is my gggrandmother. I have those two names
as her children but I also have six others as her children. Did you not know
of her other children when you placed your website. I have been searching for
this family for almost a year and just this past week I have finally made
headway. Would you let me know if I am on the right track with your Ellender
and Eldridge Barry (Berry). Thank you very much.

After seeing your name from Deb I checked for you in my Gene Pool and sure enough, there you were swimming along with Jennifer. I hear you might be able to connect me with some facts. The problem I have was started with Castleberrry's genealogy. It stated that "Eliza Trammell" married a "? Underwood" and had my GGGranddad Henry E. Underwood. Well, my Internet journeys says that John Underwood and Francis Redmon could be Henry's parents. After John died, then Francis married David Underwood. She sure liked the Underwoods. HoHo Other then this, I am completely messed up. HoHo So far I have over 22,000 links to my Underwood family, line, but until the 1910 Kentucky Census comes on line I can't find out who my Dad's Grandfather was. Pretty bad, huh ???
Well I better stop talking, I just received mail.

My mother was Jeffie Cecil Ledford Copeland and her
sisters are Arkie Ledford Underwood (the great
grandmother of Gary and another sister Etta Ledford
Godfrey, Seay. Arkie died in Oklahoma having lived
most of her adult life there and raising her family
there. Etta died in Yakima, Washington having lived
there from about 1943 I think. She has a son living
in Harrison, Arkansas. James Godfrey. There was a
brother who died around the age of two or three. I
remember seeing a picture of him hanging in Grandpa
Ledfords house but someone broke into his house and
stole the picture. Probably for the frame. DEB

From what I have been able to gather from my parents,
my dad is Delos Henry Copeland, Wade's son, Wade left
Alabama when he was 16 years old to follow the parents
of his wife, Minnie Underwood, who he was supposed to
have been in love with. However, I don't know if it
is true, could be a love story. ha. Anyway, what I
remember of Wade is for a short time only as he died
when I was a child. I never knew my grandmother,
Minnie. She was already gone before I was born.
Grandpa had 5 boys, one died as an infant, and 3
daughters. Sons were Bill, Earse, Oss, Loy (died as an
infant), and my Dad, D.H. Copeland. I have 4 brothers
and 2 sisters. Junior Dee Charles Copeland, Johnny
Wade Copeland, Fred Edmond Copeland, and Herbert Dale
Copeland. My sisters are Vera Jean Copeland, Wood,
Ward and Barbara Ellen Copeland Mears, Kerr. As soon
as I get my program installed I'll send information
over to you. Some of the information is from my
mothers side. A cousin did the work for me and it
included a lot of information on my dad. Will talk
later. I have a lot of information on the Underwoods.
I don't even know who sent it to me but one of my
mother's sisters married Blain Underwood and I saw
Nancy's name mentioned it their information. A lot of
it is handwritten so I'll have to read it carefully.
If you want some of the handwritten stuff, I'll copy
it and send it to you. Just give me your address.
Thanks for the correspondence. Deb
