My grgrandfather was John Robert Gill wgose family landed in Hamilton County from Georgia. His sister, Laura Gill married Luther Platt and i have her as a widow listed in the 1900 Suwannee census. Is Luther Platt connected with your Platts? I would like to have more info on him for my files.

On the 1900 Suwanee census Laura Platt, widow was listed with a birthdate of April 1858. John Gill's birthdate was Feb. 26, 1842 according to his gravestone in Fort Green Methodist Cemetery. Now, John and Laura"s brother, Richard, according to his gravestone and death certificate was also born in 1858???. Maybe they were twins. One Of John"s daughters, Isabel, did have twins so who lknows
According to my records and the census Laura had three children-Millie, Arthur and Luther. But her husband is also given as Luther which may or may not be right. My information was given to me by a cousin who was the granddaughter or John Robert. I am his great granddaughter and I had slmost no information about the Gills.
I would have to check my files but I believe some of my Whidden relatives also married Platts but that was in DeSoto County.
These are some of the names in my line, Albritton(I have more material on them than any others) Bennett, Cone, Gay, Griffin, Sheppard, Strickland, Whidden, etc. I'm having difficulty with the Bennett-Cone grgrandparents and also Gay and Sheppard.

Anyway, my grandmother was Mildred Elnora Platt, daughter of Henry Jackson Platt and Ellen Elizabeth Williams, b May 14, 1894, d December 27, 1982, Buried in Oakridge Cem. Madison, Florida. Married Edward Francis Dickinson 6-9-1918 in Live Oak, Fl. She had 3 sons, Henry Jackson Dickinson, still living in Madison, b. March 13, 1919 in Madison, married Nell Thompson May 24, 1943 in Tallahassee. They have
3 Children, alll still living, Carol Ann Dickinson, b December 29, 1944, living in Houston, Tx. Sara Jean Dickinson, October 28, 1946, living in Madison, and Henry Jackson Dickinson II b. June 02, 1950, living in Madison.
Wallace Jerome Dickinson, my father, b. January 28, 1921 in Madison, d. July 14, 1960 in Chicago in an auto accident. Buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois. Married Eula May Fawcett, July 14, 1960 in Washington, DC.

I only remember my grandmother and my great aunt Hattie, since I grew up in Illinois.
Saw them only once a year. On May 25th, Dickinsons have a family reunion in Floral City, Fl. Last year was the 1st one I attended but I,m going this year. We will stay with my Uncle Henry and Aunt Nell in Madison. I want to check out Orange Cem in
Live Oak.

Mrs. Millie Malisa Booth, 73, of 501 N. Warnett St, Plant City, passed
away Monday afternoon. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the
Hayes Griffin Ham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Webb officiating.
She is survived by her husband Robert Booth of Plant City; 6 daughters,
Ruby Jackson of Tampa, Mildred Pope of Brandon, Millie Clifton of Plant
City, Faye Bryant of Bangor, Mich, Pauline Byrna of Tampa, Pat Hutchinson
of Plant City; 3 sons Elbert Bunkley of Plant City, Thomas Bunkley of
