I just wanted to say that
I have thoroughly enjoyed your site. It is a great tribute to
Porterdale and the people who live or lived there. I think I've read
every word on here - but whenever I come back you have more. You are
obviously putting a lot of work into this!
My mother is Ruth (Baird)
Shaw. I grew up visiting my grandmother Eula (Dick) Baird on Hazel
Street in Porterdale. But I haven't been there in many years.
I have many of my
mother's photos that I've been scanning and trying to preserve. I've
asked her permission to send some to you for site - she has photos
of graduations and classes at Porterdale school. Would you like
those photos? If so I'll send them as soon as she gives her
permission.
Thanks for going to this
trouble - it's a real gift to those of us with an interest in
Porterdale and the people who have lived there.
