(C.T.) Bohanan
Charles
T. (C.T.) Bohanan, Sr., of Covington, died February 11, 2009, at
Covington Manor Nursing Home, at the age of 96. Son of the late
Charles and Belle Hollingsworth Bohanan, he served in WWII under
Gen. George Patton and was a member and elder of the Covington First
Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bohanan was also a member and Past
Commander of the American Legion Post #32 in Covington, and Past
Exalted Ruler and member of Covington Elks Lodge as well as the VFW
Post in Conyers. Mr. Bohanan retired from Bibb Manufacturing
Company after 30 years of service as paymaster. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Mildred (Midge) Bohanan.
Survivors include son, Charles T. Bohanan, Jr., of Decatur; sister, Ruth B. Farmer of Conyers; brother, J. W. (Bill) Bohanan of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Bohanan will be held Saturday, February 14, 11:00 AM, at Covington First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. William B. Wade officiating and interment in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, Covington, Friday, February 13, from 6-9 PM. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Covington First Presbyterian Church, 1169 Clark Street, Covington GA, 30014.
