Dewey T. Dyer, Jr. died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Decatur Hospital, at the age of 78. Born in Newton County to the late Dewey T., Sr. and Delia Oakes Dyer, Mr. Dyer was a member of Porter dale Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Porterdale Post Office and the Social Security Administration. Mr. Dyers' sister and brother-in-law, James L., Jr. and Peggy D. Hilton precede him in death.

Surviving Mr. Dyer are several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for Mr. Dyer will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007,2:00 P. M., at Porterdale Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Dickie Johnson officiating. Flowers are acceptable or donations may be made to Porterdale Baptist Church, PO Box 637, Porterdale GA 30070.
