My
1st grade school picture. It was made around Christmas in
1949. The teacher was "Miss Ruby Lane". She lived in
the teachers cottage in Porterdale at the time the picture was
made. I don't know when or if she ever moved from there, but I
think she did. I lost track of her when I finished the 8th
grade and started the 9th grade at Newton County High School
in Covington.
I am on the 3rd
row from front. The first row of kids standing. I am the 3rd
boy from the left (the last boy on that row) with overalls
type bottom with a stripped shirt. Boy how we do change!
