This is the email I sent to a my friends that know of Porterdale.  I certainly enjoyed the day even though I had to leave a little early.    Use the pictures that you think would be of interest............

Hi All.   I have a few pictures taken from the Porterdale Reunion October 20, 2007.
It was a beautiful fall day and weather was perfect.

After registration in the Porterdale Mill the crowd was arriving.....

And WOW!  Look here at Smiley's.   In the old building across from
the mill.  Gwen is in charge and she says business has been good.
The white walled room on the right is a private dining room for groups.
Phone 770 786 8055 for hours of operation an information.

Smiley's is a must visit for Home Cooking.

This is Gwen,  she's usually cooking up the vittles.   That's Peggy on the right

In another part of the building is a Meeting Room for various events.
You can bring your own food or have it catered.   Whatever suits your
needs.

This is the New/Old Barbershop.   I'm told it still has the original flooring
I used to get haircuts here back in the 1930's/40's.   Cost only 25¢ in those days.

Peggy is checking out the shops in the old Cotton Warehouse.

While across the street a "Town Hall Meeting" in going on.

Where the Now Open sign in the window is Smiley's.  They haven't had time
to put up signs yet.   The fellow in the blue shirt is Ralph Williams keeping an
eye on me.   We were buddies back in the 40's and today was the first time
we have come eye to eye in over 50 years.

Time for a few pictures of the shops that have opened.  Interesting
little doo-dads here in the flower shop.

Wine Shop called Cork Poppers.

This is a little Art Shop.  Interesting memorbilia, note the old Porterdale
basketball uniform in lower right corner.  Purple and Gold.  Picture of
Miss Maude King top right and the Tanner sisters also on display along
with other old photos

This is a Coffee Shop.   I bumped into this cute little RedHead here.
We're both Porterdale natives, getting reaquainted after 50+ years.

My wife Peggy shows up and takes a few pictures for the record......
This is Shirley Holder and Jerry Mills.

My cousin Catherine Mills.

Another eatery in the Cotton Warehouse.  Jimbo's
Decor inside Jimbo's
