I didn’t know Prentis many years, but what short time I knew him we did become friends. He was a very likable man. I like a lot of others meet him through the Porterdale Web Site that he created, designed and as his wife said was his “labor of love”. He loved Porterdale and all the people that lived there a lot. After meeting Prentis first through emails and then talking to him several times on the phone we finally meet for the first time at the 2003 Porterdale reunion. He was so thrilled to see so many people show up. Prentis was an impression to me and with his knowledge and help he got me started in becoming a Webmaster and putting my family tree on the Internet. I think with out his help I would have never got it done. He was never too busy to offer his help and suggestions and even viewed my web pages often just to help me with them. He was just down deep a good-hearted man. I will never forget Prentis for all the help he was to me and for being my friend. Joe Norwood
