1863 IMMIGRATION: Lewis, Sarah Ann Weeks, autobiography: We sailed from London docks on the 4th of June 1863, with John Avery as Captain, he was a good, kind man. William Bramhall of Springville, Utah, was President of the ship Amazon. . . We landed at a place called "Castle Gardens," New York. Then we went on to Florence Nebraska by boat and train where we met ox teams from the valley of Utah. . . We left Florence the 12th of August, 1863, and arrived in Salt Lake City October 5th. . .
