Elta (Dawson) Riley, daughter of Isom and Allie Dawson
Elta was a daughter of Isom and Allie (Cannady) Dawson. She married Carl Eugene "Gene" Riley on 30 Mar 1927. They had one daughter, Sara Jean. Gene was killed Christmas Day, 1938, in a tragic house fire that took several lives and destroyed a home. Elta was Clerk of the Ford County District Court for many years. She died 16 July 1982. The existence of many of these photographs was unknown to later generations until Nov 2005 when Elta's grandchildren went through her daughter Sara's effects after Sara's death in Oct 2005.
