Unveiling the grave marker of Charles Wesley Cannady

In some of her papers Verna (Dawson) Karns wrote that Charles Wesley Cannady, her grandfather, was buried in Oklahoma City. After long and diligent search, Verna's daughters Colleen and Jean located the unmarked grave in the Fairlawn Cemetery. They had a marker stone made and invited the local Dawson family group to a "mystery breakfast" on 25 June 1994. At the breakfast they told the story of how Charles spent his last days and why he was buried in Oklahoma City.
