Hiram Karns, son of John Heft and Rachel (Hixson) Karns. Hiram lived from 1823 to 1889. He married Maria Shaffer in 1870. Of John Heft and Rachel's ten children, he was the next born after their first child, Simon. (This photo is selected from a larger family picture.)
