Emily Karns' Shaw family, and other Shaws
Emily, daughter of John Heft Karns and sister of Alva, married James Henry Shaw on 25 Dec 1884. After her death in 1891, he remarried. James Henry was a relative of Alva's wife Salome (Mearkle) Karns, so all of the children of James Henry Shaw are related to the Karns families descenced from Alva, some more closely than others. Most of the photographs we have of Shaw offspring are from his third wife Adaline (Mellott) Shaw.
