Some family of Barclay (or Bartley) Riley Mearkle
Barclay was the eighth child of Henry and Lovis (Steckman) Mearkle [or Markle]. We have no picture of Barclay, but we do have his wife Louisiana "Rosanna" in a group picture of their daughter Barbara's family. His brother George is prominent in the ancestry of Salome (Mearkle) Karns, wife of Alva Karns and mother of our branch of the Karns family. Another of his brothers, Henry, married Julian Karns and thus provides another ancestry line for our family.
