Descendants of Henry and Julian (Karns) Mearkle
Henry and Lovis (Steckman) Mearkle had ten children. Henry, their ninth child, married Julian Karns, daughter of Jacob Karns. Henry and Julian had thirteen children. Of special interest here is their son George B., who changed his name to Joseph W. Bouse, and their son Amos K. These two sons moved to Oklahoma City, where they changed their names to Bouse (see the letters for the story behind the change).
