Letter to Betty Bouse of Enid, Oklahoma, by Louise (Delph) Mearkle. Louise was the wife of the youngest son (William W.) of Henry Mearkle. Henry, son of Henry and Lovis (Steckman) Mearkle, was the one held in Libby prison during the Civil War. He was the father of the Amos K. Mearkle who came to Oklahoma and changed his name to Bouse. This is the first of five pages of the letter, which was written in 1959.
