Karns cousins through the Hixon and/or Hanks family lines
Our Alva Karns was a grandson of John Hixson, son of Timothy and Leah (Hanks) Hixson, who were married 20 Mar 1797. We do not know when John was born, but his daughter Rachel was born in 1824. We have cousins who also descend from Timothy and Leah, but from their son Timothy, 1812-1890. Other cousins descend through the Hanks family line, but not necessarily through Leah. Both groups of cousins are represented here, including the Dempsters descended from Timothy son of Timothy and Leah, and others who descend in one way or another from the Hixson and Hanks famililies and their in-laws.
