The fortieth reunion of the Karns family was held Saturday, August 20 at Wright Park with 72 attending. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Karns of Colorado Springs furnished the special treat of the day, Rocky Ford cantaloupe fresh from the patch.
Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Karns, Mr. and Mrs. John Karns, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jay, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Carlin, Dixie, Richard, Diana and Roger of Bucklin; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur M. Karns, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Karns, Carolyn and Dennis of Pratt; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Robinson and Pamela of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Charley Stwalley, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Love of Hutchinson; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hartshorn, Kay, Linda and Dianna of Holly, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Paxton of Mullinville; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jay, Ronny and Terryl Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jay, Wilbur Dean, Beverly, Max and Bessie of Leoti.
