This scene shows excavation work along one side of Boscobel's Main Street, with a Ford Model T parked on the opposite side of the street. The car indicates a date in the early 1900s, since the Model T made its debut in 1908. This would be late for the John L. Ladd family, since Rachel is shown living with another family in the 1870 census. We now do not recall our source for this fine old photograph. We plead indulgence if someone holds a copyright to it.
