Lemuel and Amy C. Ladd in Patch Grove, Grant County, Wisconsin, in the 1860 census, taken on 9 June, 1860. Lemuel was age 42 and Amy 36. Both were born in New York. We do not know what relation, if any, he was to John L. Ladd, but his name shows up in the records often enough to make us think he may be related.
