Rachel Ladd appears as a resident in the home of Wm Miller, age 53, and his wife Susan, age 46, in this census record from Lancaster, Grant County, Wisconsin. This record was taken 22 Aug 1870. She also appears as a resident in the home of James Cummins in Boscobel that same year. That record was made over a month earlier on 13 July 1870. The reason for the duplication is unknown, except that she was
present for the count on each of those dates in each of those homes. What connection she has with either family is unknown to us at this time.
