Forrest Ladd with his mother Mary "Mamie" Ladd Hood in Jan 1962. This poor quality snapshot probably was the last picture taken of each of them. Mamie died in 1963, and Forrest in 1965. We know of no later picture of either of them. This photo is excerpted from a picture of Mamie and all of her children, taken at a celebration of her 80th birthday. Forrest was 54, almost 55, at that time. His graying hair was cut short, and he was chronically short of breath due to his emphysema.
