While living in Coffeyville, Kansas Forrest took training to become a machinist and changed from truck driving to being a machinist in the early 1940s. This photo was taken many years later when he was a part of the machine shop crew at Hanlon-Waters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Forrest is standing, far right, wearing a cap and dark overalls.
