10-Forrest & Bonnie home area, 2006

This is a view of the place where the first home of Forrest and Bonnie (Stillwell) Ladd stood. They moved into the two-room house at their marriage in 1926. Forrest Jr. was born here. This is looking north, and the railroad tie standing upright at the left marks the southwest corner of the house, although it was not part of the house. The east-west road, now east 75th street of Cushing, Oklahoma is under the ridge, just this side of the row of trees in the distance behind the upright. The house stood about fifty yards from the road. The driveway was off the the left of this picture. This photo was taken by Forrest Ladd Jr. on Memorial Day 29 May 2006. It is a composite of four images.
