Our house at 1814 Michigan, Lawrence, Kansas, in 1953. We bought this house shortly after arriving at the University of Kansas for doctoral studies. During the time we lived there, our little Michigan Street was expanded to a major thoroughfare due to a change in athletic facilities. We sold it when we moved to Bethany in 1955. Our 1951 or '52 Plymouth coupe is sitting in the drive.
