04-Ladd place, 1941

This photo was taken facing northeast toward the front of the Ladd home. It provides a glimpse of the house, with the front porch, the cement walk up to it, the flower beds in front of the porch both west and east of the steps, and the larger flower bed, with an evergreen tree, to the east of the porch (on the right in this photo). Not visible here was a cement walk around that flower bed and the east side of the house. Other pictures show a bit more of that sidewalk. We have no pictures of the windmill, the building holding the cream separator, the smoke house, or the cellar, all of which were on the back (north) of the grounds. Beyond them to the north was the garden.
