Lemuel Ladd, 1837-1861. Lemuel served in the Union Army, and was killed at the Battle of Blackburn's Ford on 18 July 1861. This tintype photograph was shared with me by Merle Ladd, a respected genealogy researcher of the Ladd families. Lemuel's Ladd ancestry is this: Lemuel < Ira < Corrin < Lemuel < Henry I < Nathaniel < Samuel < Daniel < Nathaniel Ladd 1586-1632. Lemuel and Forrest Ladd Jr. are 6th cousins 3 times removed. Our common grandparents are Daniel and Ann Sayres (Moore) Ladd. Daniel was born in Kent, England in 1613; Ann was born about 1617 in England. To see more details about Pvt.
