Some antecendents of Charles and Henrietta (Richmond) Ladd

There is a long history of Ladd ancestors going back to Nathaniel Ladd and his wife, Margaret Denwood. Nathaniel lived from about 1586 to 1632. They apparently lived in County Kent, located on the southeast corner of the British Isles. Nathaniel lost his life in an accident at sea in 1632. When his oldest son became head of the family, brothers Daniel (our progenitor) and Joseph left for America. The wife of Charles Henry Ladd, Henrietta Richmond, also comes from an ancestral line that can be traced back many generations. The traditional view is that they are related to the royal family.
