Featuring Harry and Lou (Smith) Stillwell's grandchildren
Each of the pictures in this album has at least one grandchild or great-grandchild in it. A few of the pictures include a large number of the family, but because of the presence of grandchildren, the photo was included in this album. Note one remarkable quality of this Stillwell family: Although during the Great Depression the family lived for some time on commodities, home-grown produce, and WPA work, they never stopped taking family pictures. Family was so high in their value system that they spent money for pictures that many would have spent elsewhere on "necessities." We descendants say "Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Stillwell for valuing your family so much!"
