Jay and Nadyne Smith and family
Jay is the youngest of the seven children of Asa and Pearl (Ferguson) Smith. Ronald Jay Smith and Nadyne Faye Cackler were married 5 July 1952 in the First United Methodist Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. They have a daughter, Robin Delise (Smith) Beaty, and a son, Michael Jay Smith. Robin married Kenneth King Beaty on 12 June 1982 in the First United Methodist Church of Cushing, Oklahoma. While working in Kuwait, Ken was captured and imprisoned by Saddam Hussein's forces in Iraq on 1 Apr 1993. His release on 12 Nov 1993 is a tribute to Robin's heroic efforts in working through many channels to secure his freedom. Ken died on 27 Oct 2002 following a tragic accident. Robin and Ken have two children. Jay and Nadyne's son Michael married Martha Jean Caudle on 14 Mar 1987 in Cushing, Oklahoma. They have two sons. Michael later married Anita Cook. Jay and Nadyne have made their home in Cushing, Oklahoma for many years. Jay has one surviving brother, Herschel C. Smith.
