Some of the Tate family from which Collie (Tate) Smith came
The Tate family had roots in North Carolina. Collie's parents were Owen Dunn and Rebecca (Steele) Tate. They connect to the Hunter family of North Carolina. Carolina Perlina "Collie" Tate married William Mumford Smith on 2 Sept 1866 near Cushing, Payne County, Oklahoma Territory. We don't have as many photographs of her Tate family as we would like, and invite family members to share with us.
