Tips on using the album pages
When viewing the Stillwell Directory (the one you just came from), you can click on one of the person or family names to go to the associated album. In that associated album, below the title and subtitle you will see a link "Back to Stillwell Directory" to return to the Stillwell Directory. Below that, you will see a group of small pictures with a brief identification above each one. Those pictures can be clicked to see an enlarged picture with a description on the right. You can go straight through the album by clicking on the upper left picture.
When viewing an enlarged picture, you will see comments about it on the right. Below the picture will be this line: [previous] [index] [next]. If you want to return to the previous enlargement, click [previous]. If you want to return to the display of small pictures, click on [index]. If you want to go on to the next enlarged picture, then click on either the enlargement itself or the word [next]. Since clicking on the picture or the word [next] give identical results, it's easier just to click somewhere on the picture to go on.
When you are looking at the last enlarged picture the line below the picture will be [previous] [index]. At this point, if you wish to go back to the display of small pictures, click on either the enlarged image or the word [index].
You can go back to the Stillwell Directory from the "Back to Stillwell Directory" links or walk back by using your browser's Back button. Some albums have sub-albums, with appropriate links to move among them. You can leave the Stillwell Albums and go to the Ladd Home Page from the Stillwell Directory by clicking on the link "Go to the Ladd Home Page."
I know it's confusing, but after you've gone through the process a few times it will work easier.
