Some of the Tate family from which Collie came
Owen Dunn Tate, born 1815
in North Carolina, and his wife Rebecca (Steele) Tate, had nine children.
Their daughter Carolina Perlina "Collie," married William
Mumford Smith. Collie and William's third child, Lucinda, married Harry
Mote Stillwell.
