Mrs. Lela Irene Ladd Beall, 89, died at the Baptist Regional
Health Care Center in Miami, Okla., on Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998, after a long
illness.
Mrs. Beall was born on Jan. 22, 1909, in Cushing. Her
parents were Elno and Mary Anderson Ladd. She was a graduate of Cushing High
School.
On Aug. 13, 1927, she became the loving wife of Arthur
Beall in Cushing. The couple moved to the Bluejacket, Okla. area in 1944. Their
union lasted until Mr. Beall's death in 1969.
Mrs. Beall devoted her life to her
husband, children, and home.
Mrs. Beall is survived by one son and daughter-in-law,
Donald and Mary Lou Beall of Syracuse, N. Y; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary
and John Underwood of Bluejacket; one sister, Nila Haskin of Cushing; three step-sisters,
Vera Baker of Ardmore, Dorothy Franks of San Bernardino, Calif., and Opal Sollars
of Stillwater; eight grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
four step-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Services
were held for Mrs. Beall on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, in the Thomas Chapel in Welch,
Okla. Rev. Ken May officiated and was assisted by Rev. Marty McCord.
Serving as
pallbearers were Greg Beall, David Beall, Scott Gordon, Jason Underwood, David
Underwood, and Ray Watkins.
Internment was in the Bluejacket Cemetery, east of
Bluejacket.
