2. Records sent to me by the late Kay Deweese, a skilled researcher of
the Deweese family. Kay died in 1999. Bracketed entries below ending
with the initials KD are her comments.
1820 census records for Staunton Township, Miami Co., Ohio
Elias Stillwell: males:
1 age 25-44, 1 age 45 up; females: 1 to age 10, 2 age 26-45, 1
age 45 up
Daniel Stillwell: males: 1 age 25-44; females: 1 age 16-26
Joseph Stillwell: males: 1 age 25-44; females: 1 age to 10, 1 age 16-26
NOTE: The two family names just prior to
Elias Stillwell are Sarah Deweese and Joshua Deweese. There were
marriages between the Deweese and the Stillwell families.
NOTE: These may be three brothers, with the older man living with Elias
being their father, the Elias who emigrated to Ohio from New Jersey, and
the older woman being mother/wife, respectively.

NOTE: Daniel is not listed; we do not know where he was
in 1830.
