The following newspaper account was found by Forrest Ladd in the Troy, Ohio library of the Historical Society on 9 June 1998:

"Daniel Stillwell of Staunton Township (d 1905)
"Daniel Stillwell, who was born and raised in Staunton Township and made it his home until twenty years ago, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B. Frank Davis, in Fernwood, a suburb of Chicago, June 3. He was 80 years old."
--from The Miami Union, Troy, Thursday, 22 June 1905.

(Probably Daniel son of Elias (d. 1855) and Elizabeth (Fox) Stillwell. If this is the case, he may be the nephew of my g-g-grandfather Daniel Stillwell, and possibly was the executor of my Daniel's estate. He would have been born about 1825, thus age 27 when Daniel died.)
