Since our retirement one of our activities has been researching each of our family lines. The Stillwells are the family line of Forrest's mother, Bonnie Stillwell. Forrest has done most of the work on the early generations of the family and some lines not related to our immediate family. Jean has been the major researcher, working on the current families linking back to Daniel and Beulah Ann Stillwell of the Greenville area, Darke County, Ohio. (A quick clue to whose work is represented here is to look at the Genealogical Report or the Stillwell Database. The names in caps and lower case generally were included by Forrest, while the names in all caps are primarily the work of Jean.),

Forrest was born and raised in his early years around Cushing, Oklahoma. He also has lived in such towns as Enid, Oklahoma and Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma (then the name was Bethany-Peniel College).

Jean was born and raised near Ford, Kansas. She came to Bethany-Peniel College where she and Forrest met. We were married two years after we graduated. We both taught in Miltonvale Wesleyan College, Miltonvale, Kansas for two years, then moved to Lawrence, Kansas where Jean taught in the Perry, Kansas high school while Forrest was in graduate school at the University of Kansas.

From 1955 to August 2001 we lived in the Bethany and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma area. Jean retired from being manager of the Bethany Book Store and Forrest retired from teaching at Southern Nazarene University. In August 2001 we moved to the Spanish Cove Retirement Village in Yukon, Oklahoma.
