Frances Cannady Services Monday
Services for Mrs. Frances M. "Fannie" Cannady will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Blunt Mortuary.
Officiating will be the Rev. K.O. Backstrand. Burial will be in Crystal Valley Cemetery.
A resident here since 1950, Mrs. Cannady died Friday in a local hospital at 88. She was born Oct. 5, 1886 in Alamagordo, N.M., and lived in Minneola, Kan. and in St. Francis, Kan. before moving to Manitou Springs where she lived at 1202 Manitou Ave. She was a Protestant.
She is survived by three sons, Leslie Cannady, Morrice, Mich., J.V. Cannady, Anton, and Howard Cannady, Lansing, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Church of Manitou Springs and Mrs. Mae Zimbelman of Englewood; a brother, Jesse Sprott, Dodge City, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Pearle Pearsall, also of Dodge City; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cannady's husband, Cleve Cannady, died in 1928.
