MARTHA A. SOLOMON DIES

 

Passed Away at Home of Daughter, Mrs. Ora Triplett; Came Here Six Weeks Ago.

 

Mrs. Martha Ann Solomon, 85 years old, died at 9:30 a. m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ora Triplett, where she had made her home the last six weeks. Previous to that time she had made her home for about five years with another daughter, Mrs. Virla Newman, of Joplin. She had been an invalid for the past four and a half years.

 

Mrs. Solomon was born November 11, 1861, in Hopkins county, Texas. Her husband, Andrew J. Solomon, died 46 years ago in Sarcoxie.

 

She is survived by three daughters, the two mentioned previously and Mrs. Ella Corum of Carthage, route 4; one son, Quint L. Solomon of Sarcoxie; one brother, Charley Dawson of Sarcoxie; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

 

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are to be under the direction of the Jackson and Son Funeral Home.
