W. P. Warner

 

Willie P. Warner, 82, died Saturday morning, December 14, at a hospital in Larned. He was born August 26, 1881, in Patroit, Indiana and moved to Ford in 1924. He lived at Ford the rest of his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Ford.

 

Survivors: the widow Lillie; daughters, Mrs. M. W. Snook and Mrs. Nellie Lockman, Ford; son, Leslie, Longmont, Colorado; brothers: E. T. of Larned; Howard of Great Bend; sisters: Emma Warner, Winslow, Arkansas; Mrs. Arthur Burnett, Bennett, Colorado; Mrs. Harry Bemis, Arcadia, California; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held Monday, December 16 at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Ford. Rev. Ray L. Keller officiated.

 

Gordon L. Smith of Bucklin sang "The Unclouded Day" and "Bells Over Jordan," with Mrs. E. A. at the piano.

 

Casket bearers were Jess Baxter, Courtney Hartshorn, Arnold Snook, Eugene Fravel, Bob Burns, and Vernon Gaul.

 

Burial was in Ford Cemetery at Ford, Kansas. Minnis Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
