Metta Hutsell was born October 31, 1891 in Crittenden, Ky., and passed away October 25, 1956 at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 25 days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hutsell. Her parents died when she was a girl and she came to Ford to make her home with a brother, the Rev. and Mrs. Charles S. Hutsell. She was married to Jesse Oral Dawson Sept. 5, 1912. To this union were born two sons. They lived on a farm north of Ford. Mrs. Dawson was converted in her youth and joined the Methodist church. A few years ago she transferred her membership to the Church of the Nazarene in Ford. Mrs. Dawson was a loving and devoted mother and wonderful neighbor. She was always ready to lend helping hands to those who were sick and distressed. She was loyal to the church and served her Lord faithfully to the end. She will be greatly missed in the community but our loss is heaven's gain. She was preceded in death by one son, Rev. Harry Milton Dawson, who passed away in 1944.
