I. M. Dawson Family Held Reunion Xmas
All Except One Son Are Present—Held at Home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Karns.
The I. M. Dawson family held a family reunion Christmas Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Karns, Mrs. Karns being a daughter.
The Dawson family has an unusual record, there being 10 children, all living—5 sons and 5 daughters. The oldest is 45 and the youngest 23. There are 27 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 9 sons and daughters-in-law and 1 great grand son-in-law.
All of the family were present except one son and family. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. I. M. Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Warner and Nellie, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Dawson and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Dawson and family, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Karns and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Karns and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dawson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Riley of Palco, Kansas, Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Smith and family of Dodge City, Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Snook and daughter, Homer Dawson, Wesley Warner of Ponca City, Okla. William Rife of Great Bend, was a guest.

[The date would be between the marriage of Clarice and Ferris Smith about 1929 and the death of I. M. in 1936. The son and family who were missing were Jesse (often called J. O.), his wife Marietta “Metta” and their two sons Harry and Carl.]
