Mrs. Bessie Jay Funeral Friday

 

Mrs. Bessie B. Jay, 78, died Wednesday afternoon, July 11 at the Wichita County hospital in Leoti. She suffered a stroke July 13. She had lived at Leoti for about a year.

 

Mrs. Jay was born November 7, 1883, at Bedford, Pennsylvania.

 

Survivors are six sons, E. Merle, Fred, Clifford and Roy H., all of Leoti, Clarence S., Long Beach, California, and Albert of Orange, California; four daughters, Osa E., Washington D. C., Mrs. Hazel Ramsey, Seibert, Colorado, Mrs. Ferne Eves, Garden City, and Mrs. Wandalee Ratzlaff, Minneola, 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bucklin Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bucklin Cemetery.

 

Friends may call until Friday noon at the Weinmann Funeral Home in Leoti.
