Obituary -- OSA EVELYN JAY
Osa Evelyn Jay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jay, passed away February 23, 1967 in Doctor's Hospital, Washington, D. C. after five months illness at the age of 60 years and 7 months.
She was born July 23, 1906 in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and came to Kansas as a child in November, 1913. She resided in Ford County until January 1939 when she accepted a civil service appointment at Boeing Field, Washington, D. C.
Osa was a graduate of the first class of Kingsdown Consolidated High School in 1925, attended Emporia State Teachers College and Hays State College. She taught school for years in the Spearville, Ford and Bucklin communities. At the time of her death she was employed by the Hecht Company, Washington, D. C. She was a member of Eastern Star and First Methodist Church of Bucklin.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
