Mrs John Karns Passes Away
Mrs. Anna M. Karns, 81, died Friday morning, February 5, at the Bucklin hospital, where she had been a patient a year.
Survivors include the widower, John; three sons: Melvin of Princeton, New Jersey, Carl of Santa Barbara, California and Elbert of Anadarko, Oklahoma; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Braun, Windsor, Colorado, Mrs. Helen Loomis, Bucklin, and Mrs. Alma Scott, Hoquaim, Washington; one brother, Marshall Bussard of Wichita; seven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 8, at 3 p.m. in the Bucklin Christian Church. Rev. James van Wormer officiated at the services.
Mrs. Dale Smith sang "Asleep In Jesus," "The Best Friend Is Jesus," and "The Haven of Rest," with Mrs. E. A. Stephenson at the organ.
Casketbearers were Merle Darst, Roy Weikal, Perry Staats, C. A. Phillips, Dr. Jack Randle and Rev. Peter Stetz.
Burial was in the Bucklin Cemetery with Minnis Mortuary in charge.
