Miss Elstun, M. G. Nemeth Wed in Double Ring Rites

 

Miss Sharon Gay Elstun was united in marriage to Michael George Nemeth on the afternoon of July 11 in the East United Methodist Church. The Rev. Harold Knudsen performed the double ring ceremony before baskets of white gladioli, yellow carnations and yellow mums. Miss Melinda Pote was the organist.

 

Mrs. Luella Elstun, 612 N. Hancock Ave., and Wallace D. Elstun of Seattle are parents of the bride. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Walter G. Nemeth, 141 Pierce Drive.

 

Escorted to the altar by her grandfather, Carl M. Karns, the bride wore a full length gown of white bonded lace fashioned with a jewel neckline, natural waistline and in an A-line silhouette. Motifs of lace adorned with seed pearls detailed the short sleeves and bodice. Her only jewelry was pearls given her by the groom. Her fingertip length veil was of bridal illusion held place by an organdy headpiece trimmed with lace and seed pearls. Her gown and headpiece were styled and made by her mother. The bride carried a triangular arrangement of white daisylike mums, trimmed with pale yellow streamers.

 

Miss Rebecca George and Sam Stanley were the honor attendants. Miss Frances Nemeth, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and Ronald Elstun, brother of the bride, was groomsman and usher. Both of the bridal attendants were dressed in white leno over pale yellow potentia broadcloth fashioned with a jewel neckline circled with daisy motifs re-embroidered with pale yellow at the center. They wore daisies in their hair that matched their sashes of pale yellow. They carried yellow and white daisies with white streamers trimmed with yellow daisies. Seating the guests were Walter Nemeth, brother of the groom, and Gary Elstun, brother of the bride.

 

The mother of the bride wore a pink crepe dress with off white accessories and a deep pink rosebud corsage. The mother of the groom wore a blue dress with white accessories and a yellow- rose-bud corsage.

 

Mrs. Roger Sams was in charge of the bride’s book. Miss Debbie McGee, Miss Colleen Byrne, Ft. Collins, and Miss Melinda Pote, Greeley, assisted at the reception held in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the ceremony. For their wedding trip to Dillon, the new Mrs. Nemeth wore a navy knit dress with red accessories and an orchid corsage.

 

Special wedding guests were Mrs. P. E. Stubs of Sterling, Kan. and Mr. and Mrs. Carl M. Karns, all grandparents of the bride, and Michael Kloiber of Chicago, Ill., grandfather of the groom. Out-of-town guests were from Bucklin, Mullinville and Sterling, Kan.; Ft. Collins, Greeley, Pueblo and Denver, Colo.; Phoenix, Ariz.; St. Louis, Mo. and Chicago, Ill.

 

The couple are both graduates of Palmer High School, class of 1967. They will live in Colorado Springs until September, then they will be in Fort Collins attending Colorado State University.
