He attended the University of Arkansas and graduated from Fresno State University with a bachelor's degree in engineering.He served in the Navy during the Korian conflict. He retired from the Department of Energy at Pantex. He was co-owner of Fuqua Photography Inc.He was preceded in death by his wife, Annella; a sister, Fushia Barr; and a brother Frank Fuqua.Survivors include three sons, Steve Fuqua and wife, Melanie and Robert Fuqua and wife Carolyn, all of Littleton, Colo; and Thomas Fuqua and wife, Tracy of Amarillo; a sister, Shorty Lucia Cortiana of Broken Arrow, Okla; two brothers, Pete Fuqua of Sapulpa, Okla; and Jack Fuqua of Catoosa, Okla; and five grandchildren.
