Peter

The grave marker of Peter C. Gindlesperger in the cemetery of Berkey Church of the Brethren, Paint Township, off Rt. 160 south of Windber, PA. As recognized by the star medallion on the flag standard, Peter served as a Private in the Civil War, having enlisted Company H, 54^th Regiment, Penna. Volunteers. (The three markers immediately behind the marker are for Elizabeth, Peter P., and John, respectively, children of Peter C. and Rachel.)

A rubbing to highlight the inscription marking the grave of Rachel, wife of Peter C., and opposite his inscription on the grave marker.The three inscriptions are as follows:


	Elizabeth Gindlesperger July 23, 1874 May 28, 1918


	Peter P. Gindlesperger Born July 31, 1868 Died Jan 25, 1897 Age 28 Yrs, 5 Mon, 25 Days "At Rest"


	John Gindlesperger Born Dec 23, 1853 Died Oct 10, 1881 Aged 27 Yrs, 9 Mo & 18 Days
